Get ready for Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem!

The animation is top-notch, immersing you in the Turtles’ world, and NYC is beautifully crafted. Fight scenes are a highlight, with one in particular standing out (no spoilers here!). The score is intense, keeping you engaged, and the licensed music sets the tone perfectly.

Initially skeptical of the Turtles’ voices, I warmed up to them quickly, except for Donatello’s voice, which felt a bit offbeat. More time with the Turtles would have been welcome. Ice Cube’s Super-Fly was a pleasant surprise, and Jackie Chan’s Splinter nailed the fatherly vibe with some badass moments.

The plot feels a bit thin and could use a slower pace. The mutant gang, led by Super-Fly, adds flavor but becomes redundant. Some cringey jokes are part of the deal, given the Turtles’ humor. April’s introduction is abrupt but has cool moments.

Without spoilers, the ending left me puzzled. Hoping for solid writing to make sense of it. Overall, a fun outing for our toitles (turtle heroes). Already eager for a rewatch and excited about the future of this TMNT take, especially after that intriguing after-credits scene.

Don’t miss the Mutant Mayhem!
